Playing the game
How do I win?
Each week, the combined points scored by your ticket's randomly assigned teams are totaled. The highest totals — and the lowest — win cash prizes. Winning ticket numbers are posted for lookup every week.
Do I need to know sports?
No. Teams are assigned to your ticket at random — there's no skill, research, or picking involved. Just follow along and watch the scores.
How many teams are on my ticket, and for how long?
It depends on the game — most assign a set of teams each week across the season. Some games (like tournaments) hold one set of teams the whole event. Your teams are shown on your ticket after the draw.
What happens on a bye week?
A team that doesn't play in a given week keeps its score from the previous week, so your ticket always has a total.
What if there's a tie?
If two or more tickets tie on points, the prizes for those positions are combined and split evenly among the tied winners.
Odds, prizes & payouts
What are my odds?
Every game lists its own minimum odds of winning. Odds are set by the number of unique ticket combinations and the number of weekly prizes over the season.
How much can I win?
Prizes and the number of winners vary by game, with cash awarded every week. Each game's rules page lists its prize structure and odds.
How are winners paid?
After a week is settled, prizes are paid to the winning ticket's owner by their chosen method — PayPal, Venmo, or direct bank transfer (ACH). Set yours on your dashboard.
Where do I check if I won?
Each game has a public Results page where you enter your ticket number to see your prizes, plus a live Standings page.
Discounts & value
What am I actually buying?
You choose 3 discount offers — a bundle of negotiated offers you'll actually use (dining, travel, shopping, groceries, and more). For many buyers the savings are worth more than the entry itself. Your purchase also enters you into the game's sweepstakes for weekly cash (no purchase necessary to enter — see Rules).
How do I pick my discounts?
At checkout you pick any 3 from the available discount offers, plus a charity to receive a small donation from your entry. Your discounts are shown on your dashboard.
Can I bank my winnings?
Yes. If you win, you can choose 'Bank it' to turn the prize into credit and apply it to any Open Play game later, or take the payout instead. Banking is final and can't be reversed.
Fundraising & rules
Where does the money go?
A set amount from every entry goes directly to the game's beneficiary — a team, school, or charity — plus a small buyer-chosen donation to a GOAT charity. The rest supports the sellers and the platform.
Can my organization run a fundraiser?
Yes — and we set it up for you. Just request a fundraiser and we build it (and send a ready-to-share flyer), usually within 48 hours.
Is a purchase necessary?
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. To request a free game piece, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to [MAILING ADDRESS — GOAT Fan Games].
